MULTIPLICATION BY POWERS OF 10.

 Powers of 10:  10, 100, 1000,10000, 100000, 1000000.....

  

 When you multiply a number by 10, write the number and put one zero at the end.

  Example:  234 X 10 = 2340

When you multiply a number by 100, write the number and put two zeros at the end.

  Example:  567 X 100 = 56700

When you multiply a number by 1000, write the number and put three zeros at the end.

  Example:  139 X 1000 = 139000

When you multiply a number by 10000, write the number and put four zeros at the end.

  Example:  39875 X 10000 = 398750000

and continue the process any powers of 10.
